Our story

In the heart of the medieval districts of Lucca, opposite one of the most famous accesses to the famous Piazza Anfiteatro, since 1860 Osteria Baralla welcomes its guests in the stables of the historic Palazzo Buonvisi.

The owners, Marco and Gianmarco Brotini and Iwona Olczak, run the restaurant with care and professionalism, choose the raw materials, prepare the menu and take care of the reception of guests.

You will find a rich variety of recipes in which all dishes are prepared only with carefully selected ingredients.

Our philosophy

The philosophy of our restaurant is based on the exaltation of the culinary traditions of Lucca and Tuscany, offering our guests an authentic and genuine experience.
Each dish is prepared with selected, fresh and seasonal ingredients, many of which come from local producers carefully chosen on the basis of their product.

We follow recipes handed down from generation to generation, respecting the flavors and techniques that make unique the cuisine of Lucca and Tuscany.
From homemade pasta to tasty meat dishes, every preparation reflects the love and passion for traditional cuisine. We use vegetables harvested at the right point of ripening, extra virgin olive oils from the hills of Lucca and artisan cheeses that express the richness of our territory.
